The label was conceived in Crouch End N8 North London by creator Kaz, fashion designer by trade, and has travelled in her mind and suitcases to Clovelly, Sydney 2031.
Gem Lettuce is special and unique, each piece makes a statement. The styles play with the elements: water, earth, wind and fire - and the things that grow from these - things that convey life and energy.
This year Gem Lettuce showed at MBAFW in Sydney with our Under the Water collection which featured mosaic bibs and roped bracelets all in soft hues of turquoise, rusts and reflective materials.
Using geometric and unusual shapes the current collection is a bold selection of colours. The pieces are embedded with earthy seaweed, grit, gold dust storms, mirrors that use the idea of reflection like water and magically play with the light, flowers, gold and silver foil and feathers. This creates a beautiful sense of the moment capturing this energy into the pieces forever.
